Introducing Me!
Hey friends šš¼
I’m Hev and this is a short blog post so you can get to know me a bit better. I’m 23 years old and I’m from Scotland, currently studying events management at UWS. I’m in my 3rd year and I actually really enjoy my course. I’m looking forward to what will come next after my graduation. For the past 3 years I have been living with my friend and loving it. Movie night after movie night is a pretty good life. I’m close to my small group of friends and I can’t live without my family, who most of live about 30 steps away. My boyfriend on the other hand lives in Germany and we visit each other regularly but due to covid, he has been stuck there since summer last year.
Anyway, not much else to say here but to put a face to the name, here is a pic of me šš¼back in the good old days (pre-covid) chilling with a drink in Amsterdam (I love travelling and exploring new places). How different life seemed to be back then and if only I could transport myself back to that moment. I’m sure many of you feel that way with the current situation and the pandemic which has affected us all, our friends and family and how we live our daily lives. For myself, I have lost my job, struggle being apart from my boyfriend and it’s a lot more difficult than i thought having little to do or look forward to. I doubt this will be an uncommon opinion and my own mental health has been hit hard with yet another lockdown.
This brings around the reason for this blog so welcome to my journey of defeating my lockdown blues and hopefully some of yours. My challenge is to help my mind and body and to take on some new adventures and hopefully find some new things to enjoy. Each week I’ll post and share with you all a new activity I have tried and maybe it’s something that you can try to. No matter how big or small that may be, because although I’m stuck in, I can still venture out!!!
I hope you all enjoy and please do share some pics of you attmeping some challenges :)
