Easter Biscuits

Hey Friends 👋🏻

Welcome back to another blog post and my first activity that I will be attempting to cure my pandemic boredom and give my mental health a lift. Check of my first blog (click here) where you can learn a bit about me and why i am taking on this challenge 😁

This week is Easter and no better time than to try some baking. I am not the best baker but that doesn’t mean I can’t give it a bash. For this post, I will be making biscuits which I have never tried but with the help of my flatmate, I think we can master them. I have found an easy recipe for some Easter biscuits and I will rate the process, how they taste and if I think they are worth a try. At the end of this post, I will add the link to the full recipe.

The main reason I chose this recipe was that the biscuits looked cute but also because there isn’t many ingredients and most of which I had in my cupboard already. I hate buying lots of ingredients that I will never use again so this recipe was perfect!

I was excited to make these and forgot to take pictures of the baking process but overall they were easy to make. A bit messy with making dough and flour will most likely get everywhere but these would be fun to make with the kids and on your own. I would say these took, with the help of my flatmate, roughly 2 hours to make. We did take our time and enjoyed the process of decorating each biscuit. Here is a picture of my final biscuits 👇🏼

Could be better and could be worse. Like I said I’m not the best baker in the world. But still, these tasted pretty good and I had fun making them with a friend. Any tips I would give for anyone who wants to try these would be to keep a close eye on the oven during baking as some of ours were overdone and you don’t need a cookie-cutter. We just used a knife for the shape we wanted. We also used crushed mini eggs to decorate which looked good as well.

So overall, I would recommend giving these a try and it’s something to do during your time stuck in the house. Even if not for Easter, you could make these any shape and decorate how you please. I rate this activity an 8/10 and for the next few days, I have a little treat to enjoy with a cup of tea!

Thanks for reading my blog and good luck if you give these a try. Feel free to share and let me know if you try these :)
